The award was formally presented by Will Smart, CIO for Health and Social Care in England and Mel Pickup, Chief executive at Warrington and Halton Hospitals Foundation Trust at the 10th annual iLINKS Innovations conference and exhibition, showcasing innovation and technology in healthcare.

Michael Lewis, iPLATO’s Executive Chairman states: “We are proud to accept this award on behalf of the whole team at iPlato working on the number 1 patient app myGP and delivering communication tools that are shown to improve cancer screening and improve patient’s lives”

The Cheshire and Merseyside Digit@LL Award categories were aligned with the key themes of ‘Digit@LL’ – the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership’s Digital Strategy and Roadmap for the next five years. Honours were presented in five categories, including Empowerment, Enhancement, Connect, Innovate and Secure. Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges and, from that group of finalists, one winner from each category was awarded, along with a highly commended award.

The Cheshire and Merseyside Digit@LL Awards were designed and developed in partnership with NHS Informatics Merseyside who organise the annual iLINKS Innovations conference and exhibition. The judging panel was comprised of experienced clinical and informatics professionals working within the local healthcare economy.
