iPLATO lands a contract to improve breast and cervical cancer screening in North London
We are delighted to announce that iPLATO won a contract to help improve breast and cervical cancer screening attendance in Barnet, London.
This project, available to 52 GP practices covering 420,000 people in the CCG, aims to improve breast cancer screening exam rates and reduce the number of women developing cervical cancer by helping those who missed their cervical smear appointment – it will not require extra work by the GP practice.
iPLATO is already being used to improve first attendance rates and screening booking via their smartphone app myGP and has been shown clinically effective at improving cancer and NHS health check attendance rates across large areas and populations. The service is available for commissioning for the 3 national cancer screening services, NHS Health Checks, and is being developed for other screening interventions.
