iPlato wins contract to improve breast cancer screening in South East London
With the prevention agenda and cancer screening at the forefront of everybody’s attention, iPlato Healthcare is pleased to announce that we will be working alongside South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) and South East London Screening Service as they have secured funding from NHS England to improve breast screening attendance in South East London.
The Breast Screening SMS and Telephone Outreach Programme, which will be available to 220 GP practices covering 1.925m people in 6 CCGs, aims to increase the number of women attending their screening appointments by directly contacting those who did not attend, to understand the reasons behind their DNA and to re-book their appointment as the end goal.
iPlato Healthcare is already being used to improve first attendance rates and screening booking via the smartphone app, myGP® and has been shown clinically effective at improving cancer and NHS health check attendance rates across large areas and populations. The service is available for commissioning for the 3 national cancer screening services, NHS Health Checks, and is being developed for other screening interventions.
