Liverpool CCG to implement Practice Messaging from iPLATO
iPLATO is pleased to announce that nearly 520,000 people in Liverpool will be now be receiving messages from their GP practice using the iPLATO Practice Messaging service.
Patients will be able to book appointments using the myGP® app and also use their mobile phone to cancel unwanted appointments 24/7.
Studies showed that CCGs using the messaging service reduced DNAs (did not attends), were able to free appointment slots rather than waste them, and to impact on patient numbers going to A&E because they couldn’t get a GP appointment.
The service is being rolled out across all practices in Liverpool and should help save up to £2m in costs which can then be ploughed back into helping improve services in Liverpool.
