Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a COVID Signpost has been included in preGP. It is an notification that will pick up if a patient types in a COVID-related symptom for an Appointment Reason while booking via the myGP app. A few COVID-related symptoms according to the NHS are:

  • coughing
  • cough
  • fever
  • temperature
  • high temp
  • short of breath
  • shortness of breath
  • coronavirus
  • covid19
  • covid-19
  • flu
  • dry cough

If a COVID Signpost picks up, preGP will assign the following notification:

Patients would then have the option to click Learn More and be directed to the web site for further information, or choose Skip and keep the appointment booked in.
